(Breeder's note, Ziggy is just over a year old and about 85 lbs! He was the biggest in his litter of 10, out of Lily & Walker. He stopped by for a visit recently and we were so excited to see him!)

Hi Cathy & Martin,
I just wanted to send you a quick update on Jackson. He's doing really well and seems to be adjusting to our family quite nicely! He is a sweet dog and has such a gentle personality. The first night here he cried and barked a bit when we put him in his kennel for bed, but it didn't last too long. Last night we went to bed at 11 pm and he slept through right until 8 am! He is also doing really well with going outside to do his business. We have quickly learned that we can't leave any boots, hats, mitts (or clothing of any kind) on the floor as he likes to carry them around! He looks so proud of himself while doing this! He doesn't really seem to like walking on leash, but I guess he's not used to it. Overall, we are so happy with Jackson. He seems to be a really great dog! We will be sure to send along some pictures when he gets bigger. Thanks for everything. ~Kelley

Hi Cathy, Jackson is doing really well. He's 9 months old now and weighs about 40 lbs. We thought he would end up a lot bigger since his mom is so big, but we're very happy with his size. EVERYWHERE we go people stop us to ask about him and comment on what a handsome boy he is. He is a huge goofball & just loves to be anywhere we are. He loves to play tug-o-war, and carry around his blanket that he sleeps with- as you can see in the picture! The kids are having lots of fun with him this summer. He really likes the water and loves to run through the sprinkler with the kids. Kelley

Hi Cathy and Martin,
We just wanted to let you know that your Garrison (now our Rocky) is doing really well and we love him to pieces! He's managed to captivate all our hearts- Kris the shepherd plays with him and lets him crawl all over him, and the barn cat Thomas loves to wrestle with him. We are absolutely thrilled. As I write this email, he's curled up on Nick's lap having a sleep. Thanks again for your patience and perseverance. The pup has been a true delight and we are thrilled!
Best wishes for the New Year,
~Karen

Hi Cathy & Martin,
I hope this finds your family well and dry. It's been a challenging year here in Brandon with water although at our place we have had only small flooding issues. I just wanted to let you know that we received Rocky's papers (thanks!) and that we recently had him neutered as a part of the contract agreement. Now for the best part. Rocky is happy, healthy & turning out to be a wonderful dog. He really tries hard to please and has been easy to train. He is also really loving and a lot of fun. I am particularly thrilled that he's turned out to be such a farm dog. He loves it outside and stays close to me when I'm in the yard or at the barn. He and Thomas the cat are particular buddies and will play for hours together. He's been a little fidgety at the groomers and the vets but they still all love him. We've also taken him to doggy daycare a couple of times and he's been really good with other dogs. He now weighs 25kg and is 24" high at the shoulder. As you know we wanted a 'large' standard, and he is just going to be 7 months so I think he will likely grow a bit yet. As you know the larger the better at the Rempel house. So bottom line our Rocky Poodle is a great dog and much loved by everyone who meets him.
Many thanks again and best wishes,
Karen
PS. I really like the colors of new puppies. K.

We went for a puppy shot this morning. Robin is 9 3/4 lb. She retrieves like a pro and knows her name. Robin is a delightful little girl. Thank you,
~Pamela
Robin is 13 weeks already and 15 lbs. Today she tried to carry the newspaper. Our driveway is almost 600' long and she managed to get the paper half way to the house before the plastic bag ripped. Robin has discovered splashing in the pets drinking water and tried a swan dive into the toilet. Luckily we keep the lid down (I discovered many years ago that budgies like to bath but don't like to swim). Robin can 'come', 'sit' and I have taught her 'up'. I clipped her face last week and she has a 'poodle' face. Robin is a super puppy and her funny little ways keep us laughing.
~Pamela
Robin caught her first field mouse on Wednesday, but Hunter, our black Lab, took it away before she knew what she had. Yesterday she discovered playing in a bathtub full of water. At first she was fishing for the bath scrubber. Then she discovered sliding around the tub when the water is mostly gone. Robin was running and slipping and sliding and splashing. I laughed, she was having so much fun. Dave, my husband, hopes she will always be such an interesting little 'person'.

Hi there, hope this finds you well. Here is a picture of our man Jagger. Thanks so much for this beautiful puppy. He is sweet, loving, smart and a true companion dog. He loves to run and romp and play but is quite happy to follow you around the house and sit at your feet with a toy. He is very calm and mellow for a puppy. It is very evident that he was well cared for and socalized by you before we got him. Our vet absolutely LOVES him! He is impressed by his temperament, health and structure. At 4 months he weighs 30 lbs. His coat is a rich chocolate brown. His big brown eyes melt your heart. Thanks again.

Cathy,
I hope everything went well on your weekend away. OV (short for Old Vienna) is doing great adjusting to his new surroundings! I can't believe how well behaved he is, he is like my little shadow following me around the house and yard. I will keep you updated and send pictures. Thanks,
Matt.

Sorry it took me so long to get pictures to you Cathy.... I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures or not but Kazoo has lightened up a lot....she is tan and white in color with a light brown color on her ears and chest. I'm guessing she has the same coloring as her Sire. Kazoo has gorgeous big green eyes and a brown nose. She is a lovely looking poodle (when not filthy from a hike) and very eager to please. She is full of spunk and could run all day, but when we get home she turns into a big baby and just wants to curl up on Mike's lap!! Lol she is super smart when it comes to training and learns new tricks quickly...Kazoo and Kye are best of buddies and are always together....Mike tried to get some pictures of Kazoo and Kye together while we were hiking but they both love running so much it was hard to get a good shot. Thank you so much for our wonderful and amazing poodle Cathy! She was definitely worth the wait!
Sincerely,
Helen Fearn

Hi Cathy & Martin,
Just a quick update about Brodie, we went to the vet today for his 3rd shots, he weighed in at 42.5 lbs. He is scheduled to be neutered on April 27. We will start 'Puppy Life Skills Clicker Training' on Tuesday April 6, for 5 weeks and then see what else he might like to do after that. He sure has become the center of our lives these days. We now go for a bicycle ride each day because I guess I just walk way too slow. We were going to the dog park and he was always very well behaved with the other unleashed dogs but it has become too wet with the snow melting like crazy.
Best regards,
Chuck

Hi, this picture was taken last night July 29, 2011 at Riding Mountain National Park, where Lulu and I are spending our summer. Lulu is almost 4 1/2 months old now. She is doing great and is such a joy to have. I can safely say she is house trained now because she lets me know when she has to go out by hitting me with her nose, or running around and running to the door. She has been sleeping all night now for a few months. She walks very well on leash and greets the many other dogs here with a joyous enthusiasm. She is a very pretty girl and enlists a lot of very positive comments while we are out walking. One aspiring photographer here has already taken her picture. Lulu is getting a little braver each day when I take her to the lake. The waves still frighten her a little but she is now venturing into the water with all four paws. Joyce
